Manual versus electric Toothbrush which is the best?

Hi I have bought an electirc toothbrush and have been using it for about a fortnight now, but went away and took a manual one with me. When I used the manual one my gums started bleeding, which is unusual for me. Is this because of the electric one not cleanign my teeth properly or what?

Yes, electric toothbrushes usually work better for everyone, some more than others depending on the type of electric toothbrush. Many include timers which tell people how long they should be brushing, so they brush longer. With a manual toothbrush, brushing technique is much more important or you don't do as good a job.
