Golf Carts and Trolleys Make Your Game Easy

If you want to have an easier time walking around the golf course, but do not have the need for a motorised golf cart, then you may want to look into buying an electric golf cart and/or golf trolley. These carriers are more than just a place to stick your clubs, they can make it simpler and less tiring to play your eighteen holes on Sunday afternoon.

Features

The features that you want in a push trolley or electric cart will depend on which type you buy, but with both types you want to look for a smooth design and airless tires. The motor on your electric cart should be quiet and efficient, and be able to move around the course easily, even if there are steep hills or rocky areas.

You will also want to remember to protect your investment, and choose the longest warranty that is offered by the shop you buy your cart from, if you choose the electric variety. Since the cart will need some regular minor maintenance, now is maybe the right time to buy yourself a tool set made specifically for the cart. Since the cost of these electric carts can runs around $300 and upwards, it is a good idea to make sure that they get the maintenance that they need on time.

Accessories

You will also want to make sure that you get some basic accessories. While the electric version may come with a battery charger, which you will need on a regular basis, you may also want to consider buying an extra set of batteries at the time of purchase, so that you always have a battery fully charged and ready to go.

Heres a cost reducing tip. When I purchased my electric cart, I also purchased an extra set of batteries, a very small wind turbine and a small solar panel, plus the converter and bits and pieces. The wind turbine and solar panel I installed on my garage roof, and they now provide all the free power to recharge the batteries.

You may also want to buy a rain protection cover for your new cart and bag, especially if you play golf in poor weather conditions. The rain cover can protect your golf clubs, your golf bag and personal belongings in it, and your new cart, from any possible water damage.

Value

If you are concerned about the cost of the new cart/trolley/bag, then you may want to stop and consider all of the benefits that you will be getting. First, you will not have to deal with the strain of carrying your golf clubs on your shoulders all day. This will help you play better throughout your round, especially when you are a seasonal or occasional player.

Second, you will be able to carry all of your favorite clubs, and all the golf gear you want, without worrying about the weight of your bag slowing you down and holding up the game. The push version of the caddy does require more effort than the electric version, but will still cut down on your strain significantly.

Buying

If you have NOT done your homework, and go out to buy a new electric cart or golf trolley or golf bag, without having a reasonable idea of what you are looking for, then you will get ripped off. Just doing a little bit of research, could save you an awful lot of money. And you know that makes sense.
