Why do I get a headache everytime I floss?
I get a headache/Jawache everytime I floss. i kinda ignore it for the sake of not wanting my teeth to fall out when I get older..
But I'm just wondering. Why do I have to suffer a headache everytime I floss?
You see a few years ago when I went to my dentist they basically told me get a soniccare toothbrush and floss everyday or they'd have to do the dreaded deep cleaning, and i sure as hell wasn't gonna get that. So I've flossed continually ever since then.
I have such a headache right now though... >.< Am I flossing too hard?
It's not the muscles in my jaw.. it's the entire jaw and my head. It's tension headache, like a headache you get when you haven't slept in forever.. like sickening almost.. It just sucks.

It could be that you are holding your head back too far when flossing, this can cause compression to the muscles in the back of the neck.
Try lowering the mirror, or not looking in it when flossing, hope this helps.
Another thing you could try is to stop flossing for a week, give your muscles a rest, if this works, then you will have an idea of what is causing your headaches.
