Is there any point to having a blood pressure home monitor?
I mean a thermometer to have at home is a great and helpful advice, but what about a blood pressure home monitor, if you're otherwise healthy and don't have heart disease? Is it then necessary at all?
Or is the annual physical and other times you may go in when you don't feel well sufficient?
If you are healthy and don't have blood pressure concerns, you do not need to have a monitor at home. Doctors recommend home monitors for people who take blood pressure medicine or other medicine that may lower blood pressure to ensure they don't cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. Checkups and other visits to your doctor are sufficient enough monitoring.
